Grrr
I know I am a walk over but I need to grow a back bone and tell my hubby to pull his finger out and start helping with the children. Today I really felt like walking out. My two little ones are very clingy, my daughter thinks my knee belongs to her (No really, when my son was sat on my knee she was trying to push him off saying "Mine, Mine!"), and my son thinks the best way to get my attention is by winding up my daughter! All the while my husband sits/stands/lies/lounges - you get the idea, and watches! I need to grow a back bone! Grrrr.

Photo's!
I found my camera - in the non-obvious place of the camera box! Der! To be fair I think it was hubby that put it there. Anyway I have now taken update photos.
A close up and in my new Q Snaps which I love.
I am quite pleased with progress now that you can see what it is supposed to be and I think it will be lovely when it's complete. Not sure about all this confetti though, hopefully taking on a HAED will not prove to be a huge mistake!

It's Arrived!
It's here, it's here! My new Q Snaps were delivered today along with the material and some more threads for Angel Sisters which I will be starting VERY shortly. :D The next few days will be a combination of bobbin winding, gridding and sewing Wedding Bells. I still haven't found the camera so can't post any update yet but I'm loving the Q Snaps. I've used it tonight and the tension is fab, and not much difference in weight from a hoop. All in all a good day. :)

I seem to have lost my new camera. It is obviously in the house, somewhere, but at the moment it is escaping me - I'm sure we have mischievious gnome that lives in our house!
Here is my WIP, what it should look like at the end and the last photo I took of it.

I have done more since this picture but until I find the camera...
Here are the projects I will soon be starting. I have just received the majority of the threads for both Kissing the Face of God (Scarlet Quince) and Angel Sisters (HAED). Over 200 threads to sort and wind onto bobbins, that's a project in itself!
Angel Sisters - for a present.
Kissing the Face of God (by Morgan Weistling) - not sure if I'm going to keep this or donate it to Schoenstatt or my parish church.
Love Bird based on artwork by Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Margaret Macdonald, this is going to be a wedding present.
All in all I will have a busy stitching year. The only project which does not have a deadline is Kissing the Face of God which will be a labour of love anyway. I'm looking forward to the finished article but with so many similar colours I'm sure it will be a very big challenge!

First Ever Blog
Hi, my name's Rachael and this is my blog about my cross stitch progress but will probably end up being a sounding board, or in other words another place to moan and contemplate philosophical questions.
I'll post pictures of my WIP's as soon as I can.
